The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako a.k.a Chairman Wontumi has said that God will turn former President John Dramani Mahama’s ill-wealth to vanity.
According to him, Mr. Mahama did not acquire his wealth appropriately during his term as a president of the Republic.
He said this during a rally today in Kumasi.
Comparing President Akufo-Addo to Mr. Mahama, he illustrated from the Bible with the parable of talents.
He said that, in the said story, one was given 1 talent but buried it and another 5 which he multiplied it; enlisting the Digital Addressing Systems, the Free SHS, Teacher Trainee Allowances, Nurses Training Allowances and others.
He expressed that Mr. Mahama and persons who were within his government would soon face charges and be jailed.
“Very, Very soon, Ghanaians would hear good news and all corrupt officials of Mahama would be jailed. That was the main reason the Ghanaian people voted for the NPP.” He said to the crowd.
He said that, when Mr. Mahama was once asked what he could do new for Ghanaians if given the chance, he rather sought that Ghanaians forgive him.
“If you have repented, go to church but forget the Seat of Presidency.” He told Mr. Mahama.
He continued that Mr. Mahama during his 8 years presidential mandate could not bring any social intervention but corruption which his father passed onto him.
He expressed further that, majority of the Kumasi roads are under construction and the residents see them, themselves.
He said that many of the interventions under former President John Dramani Mahama were cancelled and would not allow the NDC come back to destroy such policies.
He took the opportunity to unveil the the People’s Forum; a novelty to promote the works of the Akufo-Addo government thus far.
At the rally were the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Alidu Seidu, many regional MPs and party supporters.
